SHIFT: 3rd shift – 10pm – 6:30am
JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Auditor assists the Quality Engineers in maintaining the effectiveness of the Channell Quality Management System and supports continued certification of ISO 9001:2015.
Uses documentation tools to identify non-conformance and uses problem-solving skills and corrective action skills.
Executes process control methods on a wide assortment of manufacturing and assembly processes.
Maintains good housekeeping in any area assigned and ensures that all company policies and safety rules are followed on any shift position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct Quality Inspections of manufacturing/assembling.
- Conduct receiving inspections of incoming goods.
- Develop training to build quality awareness throughout manufacturing. • Provide leadership in compliance areas of internal auditing and ISO 9001:2015 documentation.
- Execute continuous improvement of QA receiving/inspection and QA floor auditing.
- Monitor and communicate supplier quality performance metrics.
- Assist supplier audits and issue recommendations/requests for corrective action.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering in analyzing product non-conformance, customer, and internal complaints.
- Address non-conformance complaints by identifying a root cause with root cause correction.
- Complete other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Good mechanical skills, use of hand/power tools
- Good understanding of quality and safety practices
ABILITY TO/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Must understand and follow all departmental safety rules.
- Proper use of all safety equipment: safety glasses, safety belt, harness, and hard hat.
- Understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- ISO sections about the position
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree preferred
- Experience in product development and manufacturing release a plus
- Experience in assembly operations a plus
- Experience with Engineering Documentation released to Manufacturing a plus
- Working knowledge of statistical techniques and tools a plus
- Demonstrated auditing and problem-solving skills a plus
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to train and mentor
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software
- General understanding of business and financial metrics
- Capacity to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English
- Good vision (this can be accomplished with corrective lenses), central and peripheral vision in both eyes to detect objects or movement in the field of view

Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking; use of central and peripheral vision and hearing (up to continuously); speaking/verbal communication, bend/stoop, twisting neck and torso (frequently); frequent use of computer and telephone requiring finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carrying office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Working in an office setting indoors; frequent exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
